Fresh air = fresh ideas

TECH WALK & THE CAMPUS LAWN
When you need a stroll or a long sit in the sunshine to work out your ideas, you never have to leave campus. Roam along Tech Walk to marvel a bit at the campus’ own engineering feats, or head to the lawn, where you can take in the NYC and river views in every direction.

Where to connect (or disconnect) on Roosevelt Island:

For a mini excursion

THE WATERFRONT PROMENADE
This promenade is a riverwalk that runs down both sides of the island, so you can soak up the water, bridge, and city views. It’s also a scenic way to get to all the restaurants and shops on Main Street.

For taking in the outdoors

FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT FOUR FREEDOMS PARK
The waterfront promenade wraps around this four acre park—jog, bike, or drop in to a yoga class. Catch the free concert series, Music at Sunset, during the warmer months. Keep an eye out for food trucks.

SOUTH POINT PARK
Seven stunning acres are waiting for you at the southern end of the island. This park offers sprawling grassy lawns, gardens, and incomparable city and riverfront views.

LIGHTHOUSE PARK
Right at the northeastern tip of the island, this park is named for its historic landmark—the Roosevelt Island Lighthouse. Pack a picnic and make a day of it.
